Note to the writers of Bones
You know what I don't want for the season ender of a show? I don't want a show that doesn't advance the plot, the characters, or even matter to the continuity or existing storylines.

You guys appear to want to be working on a different show. You have royally fucked the established characterizations from previous seasons. You threw in a cute little dig about how people think Sweets was "Gormagon," "but I'm not." Last seasons, you threw away a character we liked either out of laziness, desperation, or as a ratings stunt, and left us with a character that you're having to work to even make tolerable, along with a revolving door of second-placers and never-rans.

And what do you do in the last episode of this season? For those who haven't seen it, I won't give you a spoiler, but if you don't get that the events of the episode aren't really "in-continuity," I don't know what I can do for you. Suffice it to say, this was a waste of damned time. If you're tired or don't know how to write for these characters, please, by all means go work on another show. Let a group of writers who actually want to put in a little work or show a little insight have a go for the fifth season.

The finale was something I would expect as a 100th/200th/whatever stunt episode, preferably in midseason. As a finale? I agree: suckage. The revolving-door lab assistants remind me of Murphy Brown's secretaries, except that there's not an unlimited supply.

I suppose the only saving grace was that it might silence the people who have been screaming to see Brennan and Booth in bed together (remember Moonlighting?).

Fun, in its way, but a long way from Bones.
