We're here, we're clear, we have money and beer!
An open letter to whomever is making design decisions at Apple:

Dear whomever:

We know Steve doesn't like video games.

A lot of very happy Mac users DO like video games.

A good video card and fan or two? Not a huge design concession to make a lot of end users very happy, along with giving you a chance to sell to another niche market that really isn't happy with Vista. Also, game developers? They'd make more Mac games if the platform wasn't being all snobby at them. Just saying.

Seriously. Think about it.

Thanks,

A concerned Mac user who hates having to keep a PC to play anything other than Warcraft

I guess in a world of Mac evangelists, this makes me a Mac heretic. Always a blasphemer, never a bride. (sigh)

OK -- because I am in total ignorance on this subject: I take it, then, that the cards on the newest models, while better than the Intel crap, are still not good cards?

Okay, here's the really quick lowdown: Steve Jobs hates video games. He loves graphics and art, but he really doesn't want Macs used for gaming. While some of the video cards have been iffy and some have been okay, NONE of them include enough cooling to really handle performance gaming, nor any realistic way on most Mac models to ADD cooling aftermarket.
