Quote of the day

The person responsible for this can out him/herself if s/he wants, but I won't tell.

In response to someone I know commenting that listening to the Chronicles of Narnia wasn't improving his/her mood and that a lion-hunting trip might be in order to "get some religious repression out."

My response: "Hells no. Don't hunt living symbolism; deface a crucifix, it's more direct."

Current Location: Hell, at some point
Current Mood: joking

Heard about that one. I wouldn't have been in the Catholic church in question in the first place to get the cracker, and I can see how people would be offended by his disrespect towards and dishonesty in receiving a sacred item of their ritual practice. However, a) it isn't a crime, b) he didn't HAVE to give it back as it was given to him freely and without a written contract enforcing use thereafter, and c) death threats over a slight to a god are inherently ridiculous to me. Then again, I've embraced blasphemy as an artistic hobby, so might viewpoint might be skewed on that.

oooh, someone's gonna worship Satan in a Black Mass - they're gonna desecrate the body of Jeebus, and say all their prayers backwards, and do the exact opposite of everything the Church tells them to do! and then they're not going to eat their vegetables or brush their teeth!

I didn't realize quite how proud you were of that comment until just now. (Yes, he said it to me...)

I thought it amusing, yes.
