Argh.
Groan-worthy moment from valkyrwench this morning. She's getting ready to leave. We're standing near the cats' food bowl, wherein Oliver the Maine Coon has his face planted, munching away.

Me: "He's always eating. Everytime I see him, he's 'nark nark nark nom nom nom.'"

Her: "Well, of course, he's a nomnivore."

I can't decide if the next line should be, "I fell in love all over again," or, "And that's why I killed her, your honor."

"Embrace the power of 'and'."

Janet, I am many things, but "necrophiliac" is not among them.

Does Oliver snort like a pig when he eats? Because watching Hydrox eat has become disturbing.

There are noises, yes. I could characterize some of them as "snorts" or "porcine." Sounds he makes are hard to hear over crunching, you understand; most of the noise from Oliver eating involves the shuffling of kibble as it avalanches down out of the hopper into the bowl, accompanied by the cracking of the nuggets as he chews them. If one were to listen very closely, however, I think one might hear a sort of, "Mmm nom nark snork" noise, yes.

all i've got is a picture of popcorn, but you should pelt her with peanuts in the grand Callahanian tradition...

I feel like I ought to be groaning and throwing peanuts like Ace says, but...but...it's just so damn clever! I love it! And your response, too. Thanks for a much-needed laugh for the day.

Truly, it was the perfect pun. The timing was impeccable, and the delivery was immediate and devastating. It is one of Ali's finer punning moments.
