As first noted to me by justcomeinalone, Jack Burnley has passed away.

For those who don't know, Mr. Burnley was a contemporary of Martin Nodell, another of DC's early artists, and perhaps one of the finest of his time.

Surely of sheer coincidence, Mr. Burnley was the creator of the character Starman, another of the original members of the Justice Society of America. As I mentioned in a rather morbid turn of humor, does anyone else think that these fine old gentlemen would have found the creators of the JSA falling so closely one after another to be a fine plot hook to a comic book? Or is that just me?

Rest in peace, Mr. Burnley.
