Today's peeve
Here's an "eBusiness" peeve of mine. If you're online wanting to do business, especially if you're a corporation? Have a credit card. Do you understand me? Have a fucking credit card. You cannot pay for everything via check or wire transfer. Not everyone wants to deal with the hassle, especially for frequently-reoccuring payments like monthly subscriptions.

You're a corporate entity. You can handle having a credit card, even if it is kept by one person, either your Accounts Payable person or some drone in Purchasing.

"But our company doesn't have a credit card." Well, that's your problem, isn't it? Get over yourselves, step into the late 20th Century in time for the 21st, and get a gorram card.

There is a nasty "Christian" sect called Exclusive Brethren (read about them http://peebs.net/) who see anything more technological than land-line phones and type writers are works of the devil* and yet they have HUGE businesses. I'm talking multi-million dollars here. They won't use credit cards or direct deposits. Work of the devil, don'tcha know.

*Oddly, cars and planes are fine. And so is alcohol.

No problem. They wouldn't use our business, then, seeing as it's purely file servers. :)

Quoth Weird Al, on the old Al TV show:

"And if I've offended any Amish people with this... WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING WATCHING TELEVISION?"
