Things I'll bet you didn't know
Below the following cut tag are five things I don't remember ever mentioning here, so fairly few of you know about me. It's not a meme, though I might have done this before now. Can't remember. Tell me if I've repeated myself on one or more of these points and I'll add something else in it's place.

1) I used to draw, pretty much constantly. The toys I played with the most as a child were Legos and drawing supplies like crayons, markers, and pencils. I had characters, I did backgrounds, and I especially drew dragons. I don't want to guess how many dragons I drew over the years, because I'd be guessing far too low compared to the reality of it. I don't know if I was any good, but everything was at least recognizable. If I ever find any of those drawings, I'll post the examples that don't make me want to kill myself in shame.

2) I was a Cub Scout. I only ever earned any merit badges for Patriotism and for Knife Safety, or something like that. Speaks volumes about my mindset, and about the limited amount of time I spent in Cubs.

3) At the age of four, I narrowly avoided being adopted by my biological mother and a wanted jewel thief. Thanks to the screwed-up nature of adoption in the state of Georgia back then, my parents' adoption paperwork was not affirmed and finalized until I was already six years old, and an official challenge from my biological mother would have completely kiboshed the whole process. Luckily, she and the thief broke up and the idea was abandoned, not surprisingly since she was only going along with it because of pressure from him. The justice system in GA moved about as slowly as the adoption process, by the way, as he was not caught and revealed to be a jewel thief until the year I turned six, coincidentally.

4) I have broken at least eight major bones in my life, including both femurs and tibias, the radius and ulna of my left arm, one finger bone on my right hand, and one of the plates of my skull. The only remnants of any of these are the scars of my legs from the surgery that caused the leg bone breaks and a dent in my head from how the skull damage healed back together. Again, I'm thinking this is probably quite telling regarding why I am the way I am.

5) I received my first romantic kiss at the age of five, and would go twelve full years before receiving the second. The first girl's name was "Emily" while the latter was "Tracy."
