No worries. It isn't out until November, anyway.

I have a rule... I refuse to buy a console until there are three games that I really am interested in playing. Like, actively interested in, not just, "oh, I'd play that if it was laying around."

I don't own a XBox 360 and still have no intention of buying one.
I don't intend to buy a PS3.

But today I admitted in a small dark quiet part of my soul... I'll end up buying it. *defiant surge* But not at launch! I will wait! *deflates again* But eventually, I'll buy one.

Zelda, Trauma Center, and the console channel have broken my will.

The usual three culprints of Link, Mario, and Samus may suck me in, but they're gonna have to fight, and they will NOT get me at launch.

I'll wait for the prices to come down. I'm on Computer Savings Time.

Also, it's not Sony....

Ya know, after 10 years I finally bought a GBA - for the Classic NES line. I am (occasionally) enjoying stints at Zelda II: The Adventures of Link and Super Mario Bros 3. (oh, and Tetris!)

See my response to transcendant on why it not being a Sony product is not a problem for me. :)

I think you misunderstand me. I don't like, support, or endorse Sony or their products. Being a Sony product means that I really have to have a very strong reason to even consider breaking my rule and buying it. I dislike their policies and practices, and would love to see them have to clean house or close their doors. < / rant > Er, sorry about that.

I am hopeful that the mentioned sale BMG Music will occur, so that it is back out from under the Sony umbrella. Then I can look at buying some CDs new. Currently if it has a Sony label on it, I buy it used.

Well, first off, damn you for feeding *my* obsession. I consider myself a (not very rabid) Sony fanboy, but I have to admit that I'm much more leaning towards the Wii at this point. I want one. So very much.

But Suz says I can't have one. But think of it...their library is supposed to carry all of the old games. Final Fantasy...the way it's meant to be played? I'm there.

Sorry, Steev. :)

The PS3 isn't impressing me. Sony's typical arrogance, their abuse of the supply and demand curve on launch as we saw for the PS2 and likely will see again, and their outrageous price point (which they claim will still mean they'll sell the console at a loss) just don't endear them to me. Their obstinate support of the BluRay technology is also a factor, and when you consider that it's going to have a read speed of 2x on discs holding 22GBs of data added to the lackadaisical attitude they have towards true online gaming, which MicroSoft damn near perfected on the first try...

Yeah. I definitely don't want an XBox360, so IF I was going forward with console gaming, it'd be the Wii.
